Don’t miss the upcoming lecture and dinner with Professors Emeritus Rosemary Grant and Peter R. Grant from Princeton University on “40 Years of Evolution in the Galapagos: How and Why Species Multiply” at the University of Lausanne on June 15th 2017 at 18h. We welcome both male and female guests, including students!

An exclusive dinner will follow the lecture with both Professors Rosemary Grant and Peter R. Grant and 25 other leading international scientists, who are guest speakers at the CIG Symposium 2017 on “Innovations in Biology”.

Rosemary and Peter Grant have been studying Darwin’s finches on the Galapagos islands since 1973. Their fieldwork combines analyses of patterns of evolution with detailed investigations of population level processes on two islands. The work is a blend of ecology, behaviour and genetics.
“In this lecture, we will share insights into how new species are formed. We will discuss the results of a forty-year investigation and that the tempo of evolution turns out to be much faster than Darwin and many other biologists envisaged.”

We encourage you to please RSVP as soon as possible for both the lecture and dinner, you can find further information on the event attached. To RSVP please follow the link here: https://goo.gl/forms/IHctxw1tPtw8onuA2 Dinner confirmation is based on first come first serve and receipt of payment (please see below for bank details).
